Project Description

The bet365 golf betting LNG Project, one of the world’s largest LNG developments, involves gas from the bet365 golf betting Field in the Browse Basin off north-west Australia being exported to the onshore processing facilities in Darwin via an 889km pipeline.

JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd (JKC), was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the bet365 golf betting Project Onshore LNG Facilities, including the gas processing plant at Bladin Point.

Scope of Work

A subcontract for structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPE&I) works for Kawasaki Heavy Industries on the cryogenic storage tanks at the bet365 golf betting Onshore LNG Facilities in Darwin. The scope of work comprised of the complete installation of tank, piping, structural, mechanical and electrical, including preservation and pre-commissioning.

The scope included:

• Tanks: Completion of thermal barrier walls (9% nickel plate welding), closure of outer tank walls, balance of tank internal works and pneumatic pressure testing
• Piping: bet365 golf betting, LPG and butane cryogenic pipework up to 900NB, service piping (nitrogen, plant air, instrument air, waters etc.) and pressure testing and blowing/flushing works
• Mechanical: Installation of cryogenic submersible pumps
• Electrical: High voltage and low voltage power, telecom, optical fibre, PAGA and instrumentation
• Structural: Completion of tie-in steelwork, platforms stairways and spill pans
